Highlights from the past week

A lot of miles and a lot of activity since last Sunday. Max and I drove a Santa Fe to Ann Arbor, leaving around 11. After dinner at Frickers in Fremont, OH, we got to the Holiday Inn & Suites sometime after 10, so good time. Next few days were spent moving into 725 Oxford. Meanwhile, Ceci had soccer tryouts Monday and Tuesday; she called me to say she’d made the team Tuesday night, reaching me at the Country Club of Detroit, where I’d gone to meet Seth, Laura and Fernando. That was after an afternoon stop at Pat and Sue Clinton’s house in Ann Arbor. Sarah headed to Miami Wednesday afternoon while I drove back from Grosse Pointe. Ceci and I had cacio e pepe for dinner Wednesday evening and Thursday Sarah got back and we had spaghetti carbonara for dinner that night. Ceci stayed up late getting ready for DA soccer camp in the Berkshires the next morning; I drove her over to school for 7 am dropoff and then returned the second bed to IKEA and then went to some fancy fish stores in New Jersey. Sarah and I took it easy last night, had a nice dinner at Cafe Luxembourg. Heading to Annie Baker’s Infinite Life at the Atlantic tonight.

Snow Day

The mayor called it early, canceling school last night for today. Both C and M have plans to head to Riverside Park, so we made an effort to find the hole in the inflatable tube and patch it. Other snow day highlights included watching a first season Monty Python and the first episode of Fawlty Towers.
